It’s Gotta Be Somethin’

I know it’s gotta’ be somethin’

Riddle me this: assume you put a shitload of billionaires together and then turn them loose to make the rules for the country; and assume that the pick the billionaires you pick are the most avaricious, selfish bastards that “anyone has ever seen before”; but then further assume that, surprisingly, the billionaires make rules that are against their own interests. Because of the new rules their companies and their Wall Street fortunes lose money faster than an investor in Trump Steaks.  OK, now answer the riddle: why would the billionaires do that? 

Well, consider this.

Let’s first assume, as we already have, that the Billionaires-In-The-Criminal-Havens, or “BITCH’s,” are selfish, avaricious bastards who worship nothing greater than manna. Let’s then assume that what they are now doing will result in their losing their manna. The logic of this situation (if not the conspiratorial paranoia) dictates that the BITCH’s can’t really be losing money – all this market collapse must somehow be making them money. 

But how are they doing that?

I didn’t mean to tease you. I have no fucking idea. 

I could guess, but I’m far from informed. I have as miniscule knowledge of international finance as, well, Donald Trump has of international finance. So, therefore unconstrained by facts, I am free to propose this: that the BITCH’s are either selling short or otherwise investing in our collapse. That they learned that in the 2007-8 recession those who bet against the economy got rich and those who invested in it got fucked. And, oh yes. our President is asking us to be the ones who invest. 

Is that it? I don’t know. I just know that it’s gotta’ be somethin’
