Worse Than Rats

We hold this truth to be self-evident, that Donald Trump is loathsome.  In the past few days, though, we have seen some of those around him display contemptible traits that don’t quite equate with those of the President-In-Special-Shit (“PISS”), but that do put them in PISS’s category.

I speak of PISS’s Cabinet members and others of his close advisors who are now jumping ship.  As I write this, there are nine days left before they would have been out of their jobs anyway.  They have been in those jobs for years. Some, like Betsy DeVos and Elaine Chow have hung around now for about 1450 days.  They apparently saw nothing in PISS’s behavior in that time that offended them.  Now, suddenly, they have. No small matter that Ms. Chow is also known as Mrs. Mitch “Fact is a Four-Letter Word” McConnell. Their house must be a real shrine to morality.

And how about Bill Barr. There’s a vile character.  He was OK with falsifying his public explanation of the Mueller Report; refusing to obey lawful subpoenas; dropping charges against PISS’s buddy after he’d already pled guilty TWICE; and politicizing the “Justice” Department in so many ways that long-time professional staff found it impossible to stay there.  But, oh, when it looked like he was no longer going to get away with it, out he goes. 

And as I write this, the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, decided that his resume would no longer look so good and he has now snuck away with his head, not beneath his knees, but where it has always been – up his ass. Good timing, Chad. The FBI says we’re facing armed demonstrations all over the country in the next few weeks. I guess he thinks that DHS has no responsibility in those situations and that he might as well leave during a slow period in his work.

We are supposed to believe that the scales of distortion have suddenly dropped from these peoples eyes, huh? No. It is the scales of justice that must drop on these people’s lives.

These “public servants” are worse than rats leaving a sinking ship. At least in that case it was not the rats that made the ship sink.
