Washington, D.C. – June 22, 2019 – President Trump today continued his pursuit of his immigration policy by issuing an Executive Order to revise the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. The President said that the changes will maintain the general tenor of the existing inscription, but with a more “America First” message. Today, work will begin on removing the present wording and replacing it to say:
“We’re tired of taking your poor
Your huddled masses just want stuff for free
No wretched refuse can come here any more
Try it and your kids will find captivity
I’ll build my wall to lock my golden door
